toolset/customizer/elements questions

  • Hi there,

Asking this here instead of doing too much tinkering myself as the site is live and I’m a little scared.

I’m using toolset and some custom code to create individual entry pages on a directory site. I’m using GeneratePress (customizer and elements both used) for the site in general.

My header images are working well on all pages except the individual entry pages. I’m not sure if it’s a customizer or elements or toolset issue and would really appreciate advice before I play with it as I don’t want to make changes that affect the whole site in the customizer while I try and work it out.

Question: why is there such a big gap between the bottom of the primary menu at the top of the page (desktop) and the top of the banner image in the individual entry, and yet the banner images on other pages (news/blog posts, other static pages) work fine? The latter are set up with elements which I know explains why they work the way they do, but how can I set up (in the customizer) the pages that don’t have elements to display so they match the other pages that do use elements?

The site in general can be seen here: http://www.chroniclivingtherapy.com And I’ll put a link to a live-but-not-in-menu page in the space below.

Thank you very much in advance for helping with this.

    Liz

  • Hello,

Seems like normal pages are using a full width layout but single posts use the default constraint layout. You would need to create a Layout element, set it to full-width and assign it to Posts -> All Posts.

  • Oh, brilliant. That’s worked. I applied it to the specific post type required and it looks great now. Thanks so much.

  • No problem!
