Update to PHP 8 throws PHP Fatal Error

  • Hi there,

Whenever I update to PHP 8, I get a critical error on my site. When I downgrade to use PHP 7.4, everything is back to normal. I consulted my hosting provider and they’ve provided the actual factual error which I will provide in the “private information” section.

  • Hi there,

That error points to a problem in one of your GP Elements.

Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Elements,

How many elements do you have saved there ?
As at least one of them contains some “bad” code and would need deleting, you could draft each of the elements to check which one is a problem.
