uploaded custom fonts not displaying on the front end when selected

I’ve activated the custom/google fonts module and uploaded a few fonts. However, when I use them in the ‘customize’ section to change the font of the primary navigation menu items, they do not change from default font. I can change their size etc but not the font itself. I am trying to use the font spartan and archive. these fonts have ‘successfully’ uploaded into the wordpress backend but won’t display when I select them.

    How can I fix this?

  • Hi there,

The menu items are using Nunito Sans font, is this the correct font?

  • Yes, I’m trying to use Nunito Sans. But that’s not the font thats displaying at the top! I’ve tried using very different fonts such as Intro Rust and Archive that I have also ‘successfully’ uploaded and these do not display so I am certain the font is incorrect. But yes, those settings displayed on the right are indeed my chosen settings. It just isn’t nunito on the page!

I’ve changed the font in settings to Intro Rust H2 to make the difference more clear.

Thanks in advance for your help with this.

  • Hi there,

Are you able to share temporary admin login details so I can take a closer look?

  • Sure. See my private information for the login details and further info

  • Hi there,

The fonts are trying to load over http://, as that’s what you have set as the URL in “Settings > General”. However, your site is loading over https://, so the fonts are being blocked.

If you update your site URL to use https://, it should fix the issue.

    Let us know 🙂

  • This worked. thank you!

  • Glad I could help 🙂
