user_url not retrieved by GB Dynamic Data

Simply using GB Dynamic Data like I’ve done many times. Author meta > user_url doesn’t seem to work at all.

I read Ying’s explanation for why that might not work in another thread. However I see several other posts from Ying or others where they recommend the exact configuration I’m using (like here, here, or here).

I also see user_url available as a field from author_meta on WordPress codex. So as far as I understand, it should work, but it doesn’t. I’m confused as to Ying’s explanation for why it should not work though, and I wonder if there is something I’m missing here.

Context: I’m working with a Content Template element here.
