Using Element on Blog and Homepage

  • Hello there,

I’m using the element ‘Posts Content Template’ for my ‘Projecten’ page (this one is also set as the blog page).
On my homepage I also want the cover like you can see on the projecten-page / blog page but when I don’t know how to fix this.

I want this design on the homepage (instead of the standard design you see on the other printscreen)
    https://postimg.cc/gallery/NsxBHrL

But than also dynamic (so always the latest posts on the homepage). And always ONLY 2 or 4 posts, not all the posts on the homepage (only on the projecten-page).
Could you please help me ?

    Thank you in advance!

  • Hi there,

your home page is using a Query Loop Block, you would have to design that query loop to look the same as your Content Template.

  • Oke, I’ll try but now I’ve the following problem,
Title and picture is okay, but when I want to use the Dynamic block with the first lines of the blog text I receive the following error message:

Your site does not support the “generatepress/dynamic-content” block. You can leave this block as is, or remove it completely.

So I can’t use this on my homepage?

  • The GP dynamic content block can only be used in a GP Element.
Instead add a GenerateBlocks Headline block, and set its block setting ( sidebar ) Dynamic Data to show the Post Excerpt.

  • Thank you very much! Resolved 🙂

  • Glad to hear that
