On this page, I’m unable to vertical align the text “H1 Medium length hero headline” in the block.

Hi there,
the simplest fix would be to remove what you have built so far, and add the Hero 3 pattern from the GB Pattern Library.
As that has the centered layout you require.If you then have any difficulty modifying that pattern let us know.
