What element type should I use when creating a single template?

  • Hi there,

I have been reading and trying to understand the differences between loop template and content template and I keep reading that they should only be used when creating archives.

What is the best practice to use a Block Element to create a single post template.

In my case, I want to add items before and after the post content. I could create 2 hooks but have a feeling there is a better way.

    Need help understanding.

    thanks!

  • Hi there,

For single posts, a Content Template is the way to go.

In my case, I want to add items before and after the post content. I could create 2 hooks but have a feeling there is a better way.

If that’s all you want to do then personally I’d just go with to Block Element hooks ๐Ÿ™‚

If you have more requirements or a mockup to show, we can provide some more advice.

Let me know if this helps ๐Ÿ™‚
