Why Are My Blog Posts Repeating on the Blog Page?

  • connect4consulting

    Hi,

Trying to figure out why my blog posts are repeating. Instead of just 8 blog posts, it’s showing 8 and then repeating endlessly.

    Details in private information.

    Thanks so much.

  • Hi there. Since you are using a query loop, in your Element type, please select Loop template instead of Content template from the right panel.

    Easy fix! Thank you.

How do I change/edit the sidebar on the blog template?

  • Appearance->Widgets, you will find a Right Sidebar widget.

How do I change the titles to white?

  • connect4consulting

    Actually I figured this out.

Thanks so much for your super fast help!

  • Select the title and from the right panel, set the text color to white.

If I want to add social icons to the top of all pages, in a top bar, what’s the best way to do that?

  • Do you have GenerateBlocks installed?

  • connect4consulting

    Yes

  • 1. Create a new block Element from Appearance->Elements. Set the element type to be Hook with a before_header hook name.

Also, set the Display Rules to Entire Site.

    2. Insert a container preferably with some top and bottom paddings. For left and right paddings, 20px should be good for your layout.

    3. Insert another container inside it, set Display to Flex with a column gap of 20px (or adjust accordingly) and centered aligned.

    4. Insert a text block and set its tag to a link. Insert the social link inside the LINK DESTINATION and also fill in the ARIA LABEL field.

    5. From the icon area, Open the library and select your icon from the Social tab

    Select text icon

    6. Once the icon is selected, toggle Show the icon by itself for ICON DISPLAY and select a color for your icon from the color icon next to ICON COLOR.

    7. Finally, duplicate the icon you have created and modify accordingly for any consecutive icons you add. (Change the icon, the LINK DESTINATION and the ARIA LABEL field)

    Why does it look weird?

  • Can you please, re submit the URL in the private section?

  • connect4consulting

I figured out the issue. I had initially tried to add this as a top bar widget. Now it looks good. Can I align them to the left edge of the logo?

  • Set padding-left and padding-right for the outer container to 60px on desktop.

Then, on mobile set those values to 40px.
