Hello GeneratePress Team,
I already have GeneratePress Premium and I’m very happy with it.
However, I would like to clearly understand the difference in design and customization capabilities between GeneratePress Premium and GenerateBlocks.Could you please explain:
What types of designs or layouts can be created using GeneratePress Premium alone?
What additional features or design flexibility does GenerateBlocks offer?
Why might it still be beneficial to purchase GenerateBlocks even after having GeneratePress Premium?
And finally, after purchasing GenerateBlocks, is it mandatory to renew the license every year, or can I continue using it without renewal?
Thank you for your detailed explanation and guidance.
Best regards,

Hi Liton,
What types of designs or layouts can be created using GeneratePress Premium alone?
GeneratePress (GP) is a theme that controls the overall styles and layout of your website, including the site header, footer, body, content, sidebar, general typography, colors, and more. However, it’s important to note that GP cannot create custom page layouts or individual pages.
What additional features or design flexibility does GenerateBlocks offer?
GB is a block plugin, you can use the blocks to create your custom layout for pages. With GB Pro, you can even create custom site headers, overlays, popups, and mega menus using blocks.
Why might it still be beneficial to purchase GenerateBlocks even after having GeneratePress Premium?
Because they have different purposes and uses. However, you can start with the FREE Generateblocks plugin.
And finally, after purchasing GenerateBlocks, is it mandatory to renew the license every year, or can I continue using it without renewal?
Same as GP Premium, it will work even without a license key, but if there’s a security vulnerability that needs to be fixed in the future, you will not get the update if you don’t have an active license key. And it might put your site in danger.
