Why is only part of the featured image visible?

  • I’ve been trying to recreate the “Lens” theme from the GP site library, but I only want it on the home page of the website, which is why I didn’t just import the theme. I did install “Lens” and carefully copied (I thought) each element of the site.

I feel like it’s almost there, but the featured image is only visible at the very top of the page! When I click Inspect, it looks like Lens has a lot of stuff nested under <!– header wrap –> that is not on my re-creation. I copied all of the Additional CSS from the Customize panel; since there’s not a child theme, I assume the GeneratePress CSS (under Theme File Editor) shouldn’t be tampered with. What am I missing?

  • Hi there,

First, select the parent container that holds the background image column and the text column. Under Sizing settings, set the Height to 100vh.

Then select the inner container with the background image and set the height to 100%.

  • That worked. Thank you so much!!!

  • You’re welcome!
