Woocommerce

  • Hi there,

I’m about to create my first webshop and I’m considering using GeneratePress + GenerateBlocks for it.
I’m very familiar with the GP/GB ecosystem and I often build with dynamic data, custom query loops, and custom GB dynamic tags.

However, before I start, I’d like to know:

Is it possible to create my own custom templates for WooCommerce pages (e.g. product archives, single product pages, and category pages) using GenerateBlocks?

Or are there any limitations I should be aware of when customizing WooCommerce templates with GP + GB?

    Thanks in advance!

No, GP can not override Woocommerce’s template.

If you create a loop template for Woo’s product archives, and toggle the Inherit query from template option for the query block, it will output the correct produtcst for the archive page, but the Woo default content will still show. You will either need to hide it with CSS or maybe look for a PHP method to remove the defualt content.
