WordPress not responding to GeneratePress Premium Settings

  • I’m creating a new website and I am having a problem with display of settings in some instances.

First, the settings I am creating for typography aren’t showing. For instance, for the body, I set it a 18′ and it is showing 14′. I also created P1, P2 nd P3 settings, which also seem to not be working.

Another problem is with the tables. The settings for padding, now at 40 show in the “edit page” view, but not on the finished page.

This is a new site, so there aren’t many plugins that can be interfering, though I tried deactivating anything that seemed like it could be a problem. I still haven’t been able to solve the problems.

    Please help. Thanks,
    Jane

  • Hi there,

    1. body font-size is set to 18px, however, it seems you’ve set the paragraphs’ font-size to 18pt which is almost 24px at the block level.

    2. where can I see the tables?

  • Thanks again for your help, Ying.

That distinction between px and pt is confusing, with everything set with pt on the page settings. Thank you for this.

The tables are in two areas on the main page:

First, the three areas with the colored backgrounds, with padding now set at 60.

The second one is the area below with the light line around it, which is supposed to have padding, too, now set at 35, and a turquoise border set at 5.

Not sure if that’s px or pt, but the padding, which I can see in the html for the page, is not showing.

  • You are referring cellpadding attributes in the table element, it’s not equal to paddings.

And the theme does not have control over the table block, it is a WP core block.

I would recommend NOT using table for these sections, you can easily achieve the desired layout with GenerateBlocks plugin > container block.

  • It was cellpadding. Regardless, I understand it’s not your problem. Will take care of it, thanks.

  • No Problem 🙂
