ad iframes not centering

  • Hi there!

    A mediavine rep has pointed out that there is something wrong with my site regarding ad iframes. I am not very techy, but was thinking that this could be something that they are indicating relates to the theme I use. I’ve copied what they wrote to me including a screenshot they took. Could you let me know if this is something related to generatepress?

    Regarding Ad Iframes

    I also noticed your ad iframes loading in this top corner, when they’re usually meant to load in more evenly centered. This looks to be because of some CSS that is adjusting your ad iframes – which I’ve pinpointed below:

    Is there anyway you could adjust or specify this CSS to exclude your Mediavine ad iframes? Your developer or tech person should be able to help.

    Having CSS like this adjust your ad iframes could impact performance and lead to an ad policy violation down the line, so we’ll definitely want to fix this right away. Please let me know if you have any questions at all.

  • Hi there,

    The CSS is added by WordPress 6.2.1, GP doesn’t have control over that CSS.

    You may need to reach out to WP’s support.

    Before they get back to you, you can try using this CSS to override it:

    .wp-embed-responsive .wp-has-aspect-ratio iframe#google_ads_ifame {
        position: relative !important;
    }
  • Hi Ying, That worked great.
