Background image overlays on top of text and another image

  • Hi.

I have a container with a fill color and a background image (pattern) set to 20% opacity. Inside this container I have another container and in it a 2 column grid – text on left – image on right.

The pattern image from the backround is overlaying the text and image.

I am surprised by this behaviour and this never happened before with other wesbites.

  • Hi there,

select the inner Container Block that has all your content inside, and set:

    Layout > Z-Index to 1

  • OMG
    That was so easy.
    Thank you.

Any idea why this never happened before?

  • Old version of GenerateBlocks you couldn’t access the Inner Container before, the one benefit the old method had was it automatically set the inner containers z-index for you if the parent container had a Pseudo Background. We’re looking at ways to improve this in the latest version.
