Hi, I added an HTML tag to a block in order to verify my site for Mastodon. However, it is visibly showing on my site on wp-head and I want to make it invisible. How do I go about this?

Hi there,
how did you add the link to your site ? And do you have a link to Mastodon’s documentation for adding this link ?

Make sure your tag/element is
<link>
and not<a>
. I’m thinking that should take care of it. 😉 -

Hi, it seems to have made the link unclickable but not invisible

Hmm… Is your tag formatted like this within your
<head>
?<link href="https://social.example.com/@username" rel="me">
From the Mastodon docs: https://docs.joinmastodon.org/user/profile/#verification

Gotcha. So instead of formatting it like this:
<link href="https://social.example.com/@username" rel="me">Mastondon</link>
Remove the closing tag portion so that it is formatted like so:
<link href="https://social.example.com/@username" rel="me">
