Buttons not showing properly

  • HI,

I have an issue with buttons. I had the button half way up the page and it wouldn’t allow me to add a link, so I removed it and put a test button down the bottom. NOw I can still see the words of the button in the middle of the page, and I can’t see the other button I’ve put at the bottom to test. It shows up in preview but not live.

  • Hi there,

The login credentials are not working. Could you please check if they are correct?

Additionally, please deactivate the Swift Performance plugin for debugging, as it might be causing the issue.

  • This is going to sound really weird, but the user had completely disappeared.

Also, I removed Swift but it made it worse and stopped things from working.

    New credentials below.

  • It seems like some of the styling isn’t loaded. Could you go to Dashboard > GenerateBlocks and click the Regenerate CSS button?

  • Hi that hasn’t worked.

  • Hi there,

your site is having problems with making the necessary REST API requests for it to function correctly.

If you edit the home page, and then Right Click > Inspect anywhere on that page to open the browser developers tools. In the developers tools Console tab you will see numerous RED Errors eg.

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 () And this points to a this request:
    https://staging.yoursite.com.au/wp-json/wp/v2/pages/3556?_locale=user

For some reason your main domain is trying to make requests from the staging server and the server is returning a 403 Forbidden error.
So it looks like a mix up between staging and main domains.
Speak to your host about this problem as its not just breaking the button styles. It will break everything reliant on the REST API which is anything to do with WordPress functions that query, read, writer or edit a post or other options

  • Thank you very much for that detail and for showing me where the errors are. I have been working with the host also who haven’t been very helpful. I will use this to see if I can get more assistance. Many thanks.

  • You’re welcome.
Let us know how you get on with the host

  • Thank you, I finally got them to do something. The button is now working as I would have expected it to, but jut didn’t know what was causing it. Thank you so much for your help.

  • Glad to hear that!
