Can’t find color setting in template site

  • This is driving me crazy… I created a staging site and started with the “Solar” site library template.

    https://newstaging-discoveringh.siterubix.com/

The H1 word “Discovering” on the front page of the above site WAS white when I first modified the heading, and it was displaying as white last week. Today, somehow it has turned black and I literally cannot figure where the black color is coming from.

All I did was use the same H1 from the Solar template, and change the words. Which is still displaying as white on this staging site: https://brainwavemodify.siterubix.com/

What would cause the color to change just by modifying the word “sustainable” to “Discovering”?

  • Oh, this might be something! On the site where the word changed from white to black, I upgraded the GB plugin to Version 1.9.0. On the other site where the word is displaying correctly in white with the green highlight, the GB plugin is still Version 1.8.3. 🤔

  • Hi there,

Can you select the h1 title, and go to the colors panel, set the highlight color to white?

Let me know if this helps!

  • Hi Ying. Yes, that definitely fixes it, but I can’t figure out how it “broke” just by updating the GB plugin. You could probably test that using the Solar template from the site library.

  • Glad it fixed it!

The newer version of GB removed a piece of CSS which resets the mark element’s color. So the browser color setting kicks in.

You need to make sure the highlight color is set in the headline block in the future 🙂
