Hi,
I am not able to get LCP and FCP under 2.6, which is still in red colors. I know that I should be able to have lower LCP and FCP, but nothing is working.
I am using WP Rocket and Imagify both pro versions. Lazy loading is enabled, but when I excluded specific images from lazy loading nothing changed.
From Google page speed insights I can see that the problem is a loading delay. I tried to preload a few images to see what will happen. The problem is that the load delay was lower but the render delay got higher. Therefore it ended at the same numbers as before and nothing has changed.
I am having the same problem on every page.
Is there anything else I can do to resolve this issue?
Thanks for helping out.

Hi there,
can you share a link to the problem site and we can take a look for any obvious issues?

Thanks for the quick reply, and sorry I didn’t mention the website earlier. One more thing, the problem occurs only on mobile devices. Desktops are fine.

The main issue is Render Blocking resources.
Listed is the core block library styles of which your sites is using 2% of on the home page.In the WP Rocket settings, you should have an option that removes unused CSS. You may need WP Rocket support configuring it, but it would be a good option to remove the large chunk of unused CSS

Remove unused CSS in WP Rocket settings is enabled. After turning this on nothing changed. So you think that WP Rocket support can do more configuration than me in the WP Rocket settings?
There is nothing else I, or you can do in this case?

Obviously they can offer better advice by inspecting your current site or server setup and advising what should be done to improve it.
Personally, I will replace the current image with a WebP format, which typically has smaller file sizes compared to JPEG or PNG while maintaining good quality. Additionally, I will implement lazy loading for that image so that it loads only when it’s about to enter the viewport. This can help improve the initial page load performance.
