All of my posts are failing CLS for Google Search Console. I’ve tested them in GT Metrix and Lighthouse. I’ve read all of the other people with the same issue and have tried fixing it a lot of different ways to no avail. I’ve moved the image to the bottom of each post so there isn’t an issue with any lazy loading. All of the failures say the layout shift is between the grid-container and site-content. I have autoptimize and the settings are exactly like you have in documentation. I also have Cloudflare CDN and WP Rocket. I’ve deactivated both WP Rocket and Autoptize to try and isolate the problem but it doesn’t go away even with both deactivated. Please help!

I see a banner advert loading below your content Title.
And it loads after the page has loaded without reserve-ring any space for itself.The advert provider should provide codes that include a height for that advert which would stop this from happening.

Removing Adsense completely did fix the problem. I had Auto ads setup so Google just puts them wherever they want. Do you guys recommend a good ad placement plugin that doesn’t affect CLS scores?

There should be an option in your adsense console that a) allows you to “block” where auto ads are inserted, and b) ( i think ) a way to ensure it has a fixed height.
