CSS settings don’t work for dynamic image author avatar

  • I want to display the author avatar below my posts. I am using a custom PHP function you have provided to replace WP gravatars with an ACF image field that contains my custom author image.

However, I am having an issue with both the GeneratePress dynamic images block as well as the GenerateBlocks image block with dynamic data.

The image uploaded is 150×150, but I want to display it smaller and with rounded corners. But no matter what CSS I set in the Block Editor (either activating “Make image rounded” or setting a border radius of 50%) does not have any effect in the frontend.

    What am I missing? Thanks!

  • Hi there,

you will need to place the Image inside a GB Container, and set the Containers width and border radius to do that. As that function replaces the img HTML of the block.

  • Thanks, David. Just tried and the sizing works, but the border radius on the container seems to have no effect to the image inside.

  • Ah, on the Container Block you added, set the Layout > Overflow settings to hidden.

  • Ah ok, thank you 🙂

  • You’re welcome
