Customizer Settings

  • Hi,

After site migration (from a staging subdirectory to the root directory) I lost my customizer settings in the root site and would like to know if/how I can get them back. The staging subdirectory is no longer accessible, the WordPress install file still exist but the staging database has been overwritten to link to the root url, and is used for the root site. The database has not been updated completely yet, some tables still link to staging.
At first, the root site still had the styles correct as previously set in staging, however, when I selected customize the styles on the preview changed back to default (no styles) and I was silly enough to change the logo size and clicked publish. Can I undo this and get my previous settings back?
What would be my best option to resolve this?

    Thanks
    Mel

  • Hi there,

sorry to hear that, can you check with your host if there is a server backup of the site as that would be the only method i can think of to recover lost settings.

  • Thanks. All recovered from backup and migrated successfully now.
