Element Display Rules – Target All Posts with ____ Taxonomy

  • I’m trying to create a content template block element for a specific set of posts.

Say I have a post category for Teen Drivers Ed and one for Mature Driving Courses. With the diversity of these two target user groups, I would like to approach design elements for each group individually.

I’ve considered using a CPT, but it causes problems with the planned URL structure. How can this be accomplished?

  • Hi there,

GP’s element can be set to different categories.

If you want to target the single posts of category A, the location would be Post category > category A.

If you want to target category A’s archive, the location would be category archive > category A.

By the way, Gp elements are a premium module, please add the GP support key to your profile along with your existing GB support key. Thanks 🙂

  • It is a custom taxonomy created in ACF Pro instead of a category. I was just trying to keep it simple on here since it appeared as an option alongside the post category on location in display rules.

When I go by post category, it works but when I use my custom taxonomy, Post Use, the location setting doesn’t seem to apply.

    Any ideas?

    GP support key added!

  • I found that the public setting must be true in ACF Pro >> Edit Taxonomy. Thank you for your help.

  • Glad to hear that 🙂
