Elements Problem

  • Hello,

I have realized that when I make a modification to some Elements, even though it appears to have been saved, it is not actually saved.

I am not using patterns or similar.

    Thanks.

  • Only update pirvate information.

  • Hi there,

even though it appears to have been saved, it is not actually saved.

I’m not sure if I understand what that means.

Are you saying that the changes are not shown at the front end? If so please clear and disable your caching plugin first.

If you still have the issue after, then please keep your caching plugin disabled for us to take a look:

    Thanks!

  • Hello again,

No, it is not the cache. I already tried that.

I do not mean that it is not seen in the front-end, it is that it simply does not save the changes.

    You have the data privately.

    Thank you.

  • Not sure what you mean, I just check the author archive, and it looks the same as the element.

What exact change does it not save?

    Let me know 🙂

  • Hello,

Go to element authors and make some changes.
You will see that the change is not saved.
Save it and log in again and you will see that the changes are not saved.

    Thank you.

  • Can you disable all plugins except for GP Premium and GenerateBlocks to test?

If this is a live site with traffic then please start a staging site so you can do that test.

This is very unlikely an issue on our end.

  • Hello,

I have deactivated all the plugins and tested and the problem continues.

  • You can desactive the plugins and see it. No problem because is live.

    Thanks.

  • You can desactive the plugins and see it.

We cannot do that for you unless it’s a staging site environment. You can do it for us though then we can go in and test.

  • Well… I have already disabled everything and the problem continues.

Now you can enter with everything disabled.

    Thank you.

  • Does this only happen on that specific element or all elements or all pages/posts as well?

  • Hello,

It happens in all elements that are made with GB.

For example, the Hoy or Footer element works when changes are made to them, but the others do not.

Do the test in authors in the html box that you will see and you will see that it does not save the changes.

Save, skip and re-enter and the changes will not have been saved.

    Thank you.

  • Hi there,

Could you try creating a new Element and copying the content from the problematic Element to the new one? Afterward, delete or set the problematic one as draft. Then try making some changes to the newly created element. Does it save the changes?

  • Hello again,

It doesn’t save new elements that I create again.

    Thank you.

  • I tested by create a new block element with just a paragraph in it, it has the same issue.

So I don’t think the issue is limited to elements that are created with GB blocks, it has the same issue with WP core blocks as well.

Can you try disabling all other plugins and switch back to GP parent theme for us to check?
