Float Header Over Content

  • I’m trying to reproduce a website where the head and navigation sits over top the background image on the homepage, but I can’t figure out how to do this using GeneratePress + GenerateBlocks. Can you assist? Screenshot below:

    Thanks.

  • Hi there,

    It can be achieved with some CSS.

    1. Go to customize > layout > header, set Header Width to contained.

    2. Add this CSS:

    .site-header {
        margin-block: 10px;
    }

    3. To merge the content, go to appearance > elements, create a header element, and under the site header tab, set Merge with Contentto merge or merge on desktop only depending on your needs. You can set the header background color in it as well.
