Hello, All
I am currently going through the process of developing templates using the block theme editor. I want to get to a point where I can deploy my own vanilla block theme on each new client site as a starting point – with as few additional plugins as possible.
The only things missing are dynamic elements. As a long time user of Generate Blocks, I was hoping to use this as my go-to dynamic toolset. However, when it came to testing this idea, I realised that Generate Blocks changes the behaviour of the core Gutenberg Group Block. In particular, it removes the option of setting the Group width – which is an intrinsic setting in block themes.
It also appears to change the HTML element of the Group Block from a “div” into an unordered list! Changing the element manually has no effect.
As I say, I want to use Generate Blocks as my dynamic toolbox – but not if it’s going to break the way Gutenberg works. Is there any way I can have the best of both worlds?
Thanks,
Antar

Hi there,
GenerateBlocks doesn’t do anything that would interfere with the core blocks behaviour.
Are you sure its GB thats causing this? And not the theme or another plugin ?
