Header Issue

  • Hello, I am very new to generatepress. I am trying to create a simple header that has my logo and a navigation menu to the right of my logo. I have uploaded my logo but it does not display. Please give me the steps on how to 1. Upload my logo and see it on my header and 2. Have a menu (drop down) that is my primary navigation (it is already set to my primary nav).

  • Hi there,

Is the logo uploaded in Customizer > Site Identity?
    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-header-logo/

    Let me know 🙂

  • Yes it is!

  • Can you clear and disable any caching plugin you might be using?

This includes server caching as well.

    Let me know 🙂

  • Hmmm I do not think we have any caching plugins! Is there a way to have you login or show you what my screen looks like? I am using a staging environment.

  • Hmm I can’t see the source code so I do believe there is some sort of caching going on.

Can you disable all plugins except for GP Premium to test?

  • Alright everything has been deactivated!

  • I see the logo and title now which means that it was definitely a caching issue:

Can you remove the logo image added in the header widget?

  • I did that! It worked now THANK YOU LEO!!!!

  • No problem 🙂

  • Hi Leo, back again! I deleted the header while in customize and it solved my problem. When I saved, it shows the double logo in my header…I went to widget > header > removed both logos (creating the header widget blank) > update I get this error: “Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘map’)” How can I resolve this?

  • Can you try disabling all plugins except GP Premium? Then update it again?

Let me know how it goes!

  • All plugins are disabled

  • And?

Can you provide an admin login to your site?

  • Nothing worked, I added the login info, I am on the staging website so please go there.

  • I don’t see the login info.

Please try again by editing your first post on this topic, and add the info into the private info field. Thanks!
