Home page sidebar still displays on preview?

  • When I set home page sidebar to “NO SIDEBARs” in the home page layout it still shows on the preview? I have not updated the page yet because it is live I want to preview.

  • Hi there,

where are you making this change ie. in the Customizer or the Page Editor?
And can I see the site ?

  • I am doing it in the home page editor. Under the layout / sidebar layout of the sidebar page editor.

  • It is above where you can disable elements. When I go to preview in a new tab it is still showing. I’m trying to see what it would look like before I push it live.

  • I would suspect its just the limitation of WP Preview it renders the preview from the editor data, which may not pick up that charge.

Go to Customizer > Layout > Sidebars and in there temporarily remove the sidebar options – that should give you a preview of what it will look like without the sidebar.

  • Ok Thanks David.

  • Let us know if you hit any issues
    Glad to be of help
