Since the most recent update that changes how the button blocks work, I can’t figure out what I’m supposed to be doing to center a single button on the page. I’m just clicking everything in sight, trying to find what is surely an obvious function, but I haven’t managed it. Am I going crazy?

So a button MUST go into a container now if you want to center it on the page? I thought the whole point of the recent button update was to remove buttons from being forcefully placed in a container that led to unnecessary styles on the page.

Oh I see. Thanks. I wasn’t paying attention, I thought you were a member of the support team π
Thanks for sharing your method!
Support team, anything to add here?

You can add a Button Container as mentioned here: https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/button-overview/#adding-a-button-container
You can then set your alignment settings through that.
The Button Container was removed because there are multiple designs that don’t need one so it’s just extra markup. Removing it by default and having the option to add it is the solution we have now.

Is there a difference between a button container and a regular container?
-
The button container is a regular container with the
display
set toflex
πOn the front end, they are exactly the same.
But at the backend, the buttons container offers the quick-adding-more-button feature by clicking the
+
icon when a button block is selected. -
