How to change the entire top menu background color

  • Hi Team,

I am using the Scribe Template, and I am trying to change the entire top menu background color.

I was able to change half of it using the Colors -> Primary Navigation -> Background, and also Colors -> Top Bar -> Background

but still, the left side of the top bar still blank (please see the link I am sharing).

Any idea about what I am doing wrong?

    Thank you

  • Hi there,

I believe using the Navigation as header feature would be what you are looking for:
    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/navigation-as-a-header/

Let me know if this helps 🙂

  • Hi Leo,

It worked GREAT ! Each time more I get more amazed with GP.

Last question: it worked fine for Desktop and Mobile but not for IPAD.

For IPAD View, the menu breaks in two lines. I am attaching an image of it in the Private Information aread

  • I just checked with an iPad, it doesn’t seem to have the issue, have you tried to test it on an actual device?

    Let me know 🙂

  • Hi Ying,

Thanks for jumping in ! Yes, I tested with my Ipad. When the Ipad is in the Landscape, the menu is fine.

When I rotate it (in the Portrait position), the menu is being split.

  • Hi there,

I couldn’t replicate the breaking menu either, so it’s impossible to debug without seeing the issue.

What if you set the menu to be displayed in the hamburger menu when in tablet breakpoint? Would that work for you?

  • Good Idea Alvind. Thank you

  • No problem!
