how do I create an author block that will automatically appear on the bottom of each post? This will give the information about the particular author that wrote that post as well as an image of the person. thanks.

Thank you. I went through the video step by step and created the author block element using a block-hook as shown exactly. I have two questions:
1. How can I add an avitar to each author? I don’t have a spot for one under the user dashboard in the wpadmin.
2. How can I get the author box to appear on each post. I have specified the location as POST like the video shows, but there’s something keeping it from being visible on each post.

1. There’s a “Profile Picture” in users. The image should be coming from Gravatar. You can also add a custom Image field if you want. A plugin like ACF may help with that.
2. It should be displayed to Post > All Posts. Is it not appearing to all posts with that setting?

For #2…correct, I just double checked the setting and it’s displayed to POST>ALL POSTS for the location and is not appearing. What else can I do to make it work? Thank you.
At some point previously, we might have turned off the author boxes from displaying…we can’t remember for sure or where that was.

Can you check what is the hook you are using? Can you change the hook to
before_footerto test？ -

For the block element, we’re using:
ELEMENT TYPE: HOOK
HOOK NAME: BEFORE_FOOTER
PRIORITY: 10DISPLAY RULES:
LOCATION, POST, ALL POSTS -

It’s because you’ve selected administrators as the user in the element, so it will only show to users that have admin roles.
Remove that user from the block element should fix the issue 🙂

We are still unable to resolve #1…populating a user image in the author box. We installed a plugin as suggested (USER PROFILE PHOTO plugin), but the image still doesn’t appear in the author box. Would you be willing to look at it and let us know what we can do to make it work? (admin login attached))

Hi there,
I’m not familiar with this plugin, so I don’t really know how it works. But I do notice that you’ve disabled the author avatar display at settings > discussion > Avatars, try activating that option, and see if the plugin works 🙂
