How to Customize the GeneratePress Theme to Display Only Photos in Posts

  • hello.
I am using the generatepress theme so well.
I’m happy with the optimisation, performance, accessibility and recommendations.
I have no desire to switch to any other theme because of this theme.
I would like to ask you something.
I would like to remove the category, title and date from the attached image link and make only the photo visible and clickable, how can I do this?
    Thank you.

  • Hi there,

It looks like you are using the Newsroom template from our site library:
    https://gpsites.co/newsroom/

So that section can be edited in Dashboard > Appearance > Elements > Home Post Grid.

Then you can remove the entire container that’s holding the dynamic List of terms, Post title and Post date:

Let me know if this helps 🙂

  • Thank you for your kind reply.
I would like to delete the container, leaving only the picture, and then make the picture clickable as a link to the post.
    How can I do this?
    Thank you!

  • I would like to delete the container, leaving only the picture,

The image is the background image.

However, if you want to use image instead, select the Post template block, and disable its dynamic data.

Then add a GB image block in the Post template block, enable its dynamic data, set the image source to Featured image, dynamic link to single post.

Set the image’s width and height to 100% so it can fill the entire container.

  • Thank you for the detailed instructions!
Everything appears to be set up correctly, and it should work perfectly as described.
    Thank you!

  • Glad to hear that 🙂
