Loop query is not formatting correctly

  • I tried using a loop query from the pattern library, but it doesn’t give me the same formatting as in the library, do you know how to fix this?

  • Hi there,

Which pattern library are you referring to?

I don’t see any formatting issues on your site either. Could you point out which part of the formatting is incorrect?

  • It’s supposed to look like the link I added below

But everything looks wrong, from the button, to the title, and there is no border or card around it either.

  • Is the formatting also incorrect inside the editor?

  • no, inside the editor it looks ok, the screenshot i took was of it in the editor.

  • Usually, when the layout in the editor is fine but messes up on the frontend, it’s often due to caching issues. Since your site is using Breeze cache, could you purge the caches or temporarily deactivate it entirely to see if the issue is fixed?

If that doesn’t work, you can try regenerating GenerateBlocks CSS at GenerateBlocks > Settings > Regenerate CSS Files.

  • hey i just tried all that, and it didn’t work. Even worse, I can’t see the Pattern Library option when I choose a block in my Gutenberg editor anymore. Any suggestions, thanks

  • Can you provide temporary login credentials for us to investigate the issue more closely?

  • Sure, I entered in the password in the private info. It might have something to do with the site template I installed, I installed the Bold theme in the Generatepress library.

  • Hi there,

your blog page is set to show the latest posts in Dashboard > Settings > Reading
So what you see on the front end is the default index template from the theme.

To show the Query Loop you would need to make the blog a normal page by removing it from the Settings > Reading.

  • Hey that worked – but after i made the changes the last person suggested, the Pattern Library is not showing up in my Gutenberg editor anymore, can you please try to see what is the problem? (ex. when I select a new block, it gave me the option previously of pattern library, but I don’t see that anymore) – I’ve given you full admin access below

  • If you’ve recently updated GenerateBlocks, you can access the Pattern Library by clicking the GB logo in the top right corner. See here: https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/pattern-library/

  • thanks Alvind that worked I appreciate it!

  • You’re welcome!
