Making the Top Bar Widget space full width

  • I am using the Top Bar widget space to put some content above my logo/nav. I have it set in a double container / 2 column grid so that text will be on the left and buttons will be on the right.

However, I can’t seem to set it to fill the space, the block is always set to be right aligned with an auto margin on the left. I have the sizing of the parent container set to max width and 100%.

Is there a setting I’m missing to make this fill the full width of the widget space? I suspect I can do it with CSS but I’m still getting used to 3.0 and I’m not sure if I’m missing something

  • Hi there,

Just to confirm that the topic is resolved as it’s marked as resolved.

    Let me know 🙂

  • Oh no, not resolved — odd, must have been a mis-click! I still have this question. Thanks!

  • Hello there,

For reference, can you share the link to the site in question? We’ll check your setup.

  • Sure — it’s in the private information (it is a staging site currently)

  • I see. The Top bar widget has custom CSS forcing content to the right.

An alternative is to use a Block Element – Hook hooked to before_header to add those Blocks.

  • Gotcha — okay! I thought I was maybe missing something with the new 3.0 layouts, but this makes sense. Thanks!

  • You’re welcome!
