Page Hero: Image hidden behind container

  • Hello there,

    I am building a page hero that consists of a page-width container with a background colour only. A smaller photo should be placed above the background container. The upper half of the photo should lie on the container, the lower half should protrude beyond the lower edge of the background container. (The website is on a local server. I hope the description is understandable without the URL.)

    No matter what I do, the image is always hidden behind the background container. In the backend, the image is visible above the background container. But on the website it is hidden behind it. I am not able to bring the image to the foreground, although this has not been a problem on other websites in the past. I’m probably missing something obvious, maybe you could give me a hint?

  • Hi there,

    Can I see the section in question on the actual page?

    Let me know 🙂

  • Hi Ying,
    the website is hosted locally. I have created a sample page for you on another website. As you can see, the Inclusive Minds logo is covered by the container with the colour gradient. I just can’t get the logo to overlay the background container.

  • Hi there,

    Try adding this CSS:

    .gb-block-image-a610ac66 {
         position: relative;
    }
  • That solved it. Thank you, Alvind!

  • You’re welcome!
