Pattern Library – Where video is getting called?

  • Hello,

I’d like to use the “Hero – 16” from your Pattern Library as it’s close to the look i wanted to give to my website.

On the backend i see a static image as backround which is called from the “Backround settings” of the second container. The image is https://library.generateblocks.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/sharon-mccutcheon-NkQD-RHhbvY-unsplash.jpg

On the frontend though, instead of the static image above i see a video playing. The problem is, i can’t locate where you call it from. I check the “Backround settings” in the containers and there is no link video there.

Where can i find it the video link and change it with my own?

    Kindest regards

  • Hi there,

that is odd… can I see your site where the video can be seen ?

  • Hello,

Sure thing, i made the page public so that you can see it (it’s still under construction). Please check link 1 to see the “video”.

I just realized that in fact it’s not a video but actually a gif we have on another published page. In link 2 i provide the other page and in link 3 i provide the gif.

Indeed this is odd because i simply added your Pattern without changing anything. By itself it doesn’t show the image you have https://library.generateblocks.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/sharon-mccutcheon-NkQD-RHhbvY-unsplash.jpg but rather the gif (link 3) we have on another random page.

    Can’t explain it.

    Kindest regards

  • Hi there,

That’s a gif file, you should be able to select the container (it’s not the top level container, but its inner/child container), the settings should be in the Background panel.

  • Hello,

I don’t want to insert the gif. The gif just appears there by itself without having me adding it to any container of the Pattern.

Can you explain how this happened?

    Kindest regards

  • Edit the Hero Element.
    Open the block list view.
You will see a top level Comntainer Block.
Inside that is a inner Container Block. Select that block. Go to the settings Background and delete the URL that you have there.
