Problem with site displaying and some images

  • specialneedshelper

    Hey guys, how you all doing, hoping all is great. Sorry to bother you guys but I am only now noticing some issues with my site:

    https://plumbingviolationspros.com/

    On my windows desktop, in google search results I click on my listing and it it is not opening in my main chrome browser ever after I clear the cache using this method, F12 then right-click on the refresh icon and select ‘Empty cache and hard reload’. It is only showing a while blank screen.

    It is working fine on another Chrome profile and works perfect on mobile but some images are not showing on imac even after clearing cache on that machine.

    I am wondering if any technical issues with my template/theme maybe. so any ideas or fixes for this please? Thx

  • Hi there,

    I don’t seem to see the issue when I check your site via Google results.

    It’s likely cache issue and might be affected by your browser extension and browser profile settings.

    Just check it via an incognito window, if that works, then there should not be an issue.

    Cool thanks, no issue in incognito on both my windows but the problem exists in Incognito on the Mac, as you can see 3 of the ‘Services’ images doesn’t show and it does not show on their Respective Services pages either, any possible fixes for this?

    Also, only issue I had missed on Mobile is the Heading under the Header image is now lined up vertically, how can I make it as normal horizontally on Mobile please?

  • I am using a Macbook, I don’t see the image not loading issue, they are all loaded fine:

    For the heading, you are using the WP core heading block, it comes with below WP’s style:

    h1.has-background, h2.has-background, h3.has-background, h4.has-background, h5.has-background, h6.has-background {
        padding: 1.25em 2.375em;
    }

    The paddings are calculated based on the font-size (em), as your h2 heading font-size is 40px, the padding around it would be 49.6px on top and bottom, 95px on left and right.

    But it seems this CSS only applies to headings that have a background, you can try editing that heading and removing its background color, it should remove the paddings.

    Thanks for confirming on the mac issue! My imac is an old 2012 so most likely has some issues.

    Sorry I am not understanding about ‘removing the background color’. In mobile view, I am not seeing that a background color is set?

  • Hi there,

    looks like the background color is set to White, click on the background color swatch and clear the color value.
