Showing Sub Category archives

  • I have setup the categories to have sub categories underneath the parent. I also removed the word “category” from url. So if I have say “weekdays” as a category, it creates a URL so that

http://www.sitename.com/weekdays will load the archive page and show related posts. This works fine.

But if I have say a sub category of “monday”, under weekdays, and then try to show posts by browsing to

http://www.sitename.com/weekdays/monday/ – it shows an “Oops! That page can’t be found.”

How can I get the sub categories to work like this?

  • Hi there,

GP does not have control over permalinks, unfortunately.

You might be able to get an answer by reaching out to WP’s support.
