Simple Calendar Pro plugin conflict with theme

  • I haven’t been able to get ahold of the plugin makers yet, but I hoped you could help. Somehow the site footer is being squashed into the calendar table. The plugin pulls from Google calendars. I have no idea how this is happening, or when it started, but it was after March 7 according to the web archive. According to Cpanel, the plugin had no updates at this time but both Generatepress and Generatepress Premium did.

  • Hi there,

I think this is an obvious plugin problem and not something we can fix on our end unfortunately.

If you aren’t able to track down the plugin author then I would recommend finding a better plugin.

    Thanks for your understanding.

  • Just going to say we got it. It looks like someone posted an event in the calendar that had some weird invisible code in it. So it was neither the plugin itself nor the theme that was the issue.

So for all future finders of the post: copy pasting from things like word or excel isn’t always a good idea.

    Thanks for looking at it!

  • Glad to hear 🙂
