Hi, I followed instructions provided here (https://generate.tips/generatepress/how-to-make-topbar-sticky-along-with-the-navigation/) to good effect a few months ago, however (possibly since the recent GP update?) I have just noticed my sticky header has disappeared although the element and css remains intact and ‘use navigation as header’ is on.
And the site tagline is suddenly missing also.
I cannot work out why, can you help please?
Thank you,
Nicola -
Hi there,
can you clear the Siteground optimizer caches, and then clear the browser caches.
If the issue persists , disable that plugin and let me know. -

Hi, I’ve done all of that but it hasn’t helped.

Ok, i can see the CSS now.
Did you recently enable the Off Canvas panel ?
As that willoverflow-x: hidden
to the body of the page, which breaks thepostition: sticky
Add this CSS in addition to what you have to resolve that:
body { overflow: initial !important; }

I wasn’t aware of having enabled it no. Anyway the code works, thank you.
Do you know why the tagline has suddenly disappeared? It was there before on the sticky header.

The tagline only appears in the site header, however, you are using the
navigation as header
option which removes the site header, and uses navigation as the header. Thus the tagline won’t show. If you want it to show, you need to disable the
navigation as header
option. -

Ok, thank you. So my options are to have the sticky header top bar and navigation but no tagline, or the tagline but no sticky header? I thought there might be some PHP or CSS that would allow both?

You can use sticky header without using navigation as header option.
Or you can use this simple solution if you do not need the sticky animation effect:
