Stuck on the spinner when I click Open Site Library

  • Hi Guys, so I just bought premium and I installed it on one hosting account and it is working fine. I was not sure if I’m allowed to use on a different hosting account but I tried and everthing installed but when I click on “Open Site Library” I am stuck on this spinner forever. If I click on the Generatepress link I can see nothing has been activated.
I can see the key was saved and it says receiving premium updates.
Also, same thing happens if I try to install individual modules but alteast when I refresh it shows that they are installed.

    Please advise.

  • Hi there,

Could you try the instructions here: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/site-library-unavailable/

If none of those work, right click and inspect while you see the spinner constantly loading. Go to the Console tab and check if there is an error. If there’s one, let us know what it is.

  • Thanks for the reply. Saving Permalinks did not work. I installed query monitor and I do not see any api calls when I click on “Open Site Library” I dont see any api calls. So then I checked the console for errors. When I get to the GeneratePress page I already have this error:

Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ‘)’ (at content.js:16:41)

And now if I click on “Open Site Library”, I get:

    Uncaught (in promise) {code: ‘invalid_json’, message: ‘The response is not a valid JSON response.’}
    Promise.then (async)

Now I am not sure if this is breaking because of that prior error on the page.

  • I see. Could you share admin login credentials through the Private Information field so we can investigate?

  • Sure

  • Could you disable the Jetpack plugin? I’ll recheck afterward.

  • sure, deactivated.

  • Can you check with your host to make sure this domain is not being blocked: gpsites.co

Also, check with them if the WordPress REST API is loading for you.

  • ok I ll do that, thanks

  • Alright. Hope it goes well. Let us know what they say.

  • Hi! I ended up just moving that website to my other hosting account and was able to get the site library to load.

  • I see. Glad it’s working now!
