Unable to locate strange redirects

  • Hi,

I’m going through my page indexing errors on G search console and I’m seeing a number of redirects which I can’t locate, either being set up in my 301 redirect plugin or in my cpanel hosting.

    Take https://menspleasures.com/page/5/

If I delete this it deletes my homepage but my HP slug isn’t https://menspleasures.com/page/5/, its just https://menspleasures.com.

    There are 75 of them.

    Tks, have included viewable link

  • Hi there,

Have you implemented any custom PHP functions that could be affecting how the URL behaves?

  • Hi Alvind,

The only PHP related plugins I see is Code Snippets.

Regarding if I have implemented any custom PHP functions, I’m not sure.

What would they look like pls and where would they be located?

    Tks

  • In the Code Snippets > All snippets section, you should be able to see if there is any PHP code added there.

If you want me to take a look, you can provide your site’s login credentials inside the Private Information field.

  • Brilliant, thank you, pls find enclosed

  • Hi, do you still need access?

  • Sorry, for some reason, your previous reply slipped from our system.

I’ve taken a look at your snippets, but there doesn’t seem to be anything related to the issue.

Have you checked the .htaccess file in your file system? Perhaps there is something there that has to do with the redirection.

  • What am I looking for specifically in the htaccess file – somekind of php redirect link?

  • It’s not PHP, see if there is something in there with Redirect keyword.

  • Having spoke to Namecheap they state: These redirects are not set up on the server side. They are related to the internal WordPress configuration or get redirected by a specific plugin of your website.

I have checked htaccess, not much there, no “redirect” text there.

  • In that case, could you do this: deactivate all plugins except GP Premium. Then try accessing this link to see if it’s still accessible: https://menspleasures.com/page/5/

If it’s not, then it’s definitely caused by one of the plugins. Afterward, we can reactivate them one by one to check which plugin is the culprit.

  • pls allow bit of time

  • Let us know 😀
