Using “Use Any Font” plugin

  • Hi there,

I use the “Use any font” plugin on some sites that need particular non Google fonts.
On your old non dynamic typography options, after adding a font, the new font would appear as a local system font when opening the customiser.

BUt I am trying to do this now on a new build, using the dynamic typography and the fonts do not seem to carry over in the same way. Is there a setting I am missing or some way to make this work?

Here is how the current customiser looks:

Here is how to opld one looks with extra fonts in there:

    Cheers!

  • Hi there,

Add New Font, and in the FONT FAMILY NAME field simply type in the font name, this must match the font family name of the local font you added.
DO NOT check the Use Google Font API
    And thats it.

Now you can select the Font in typography manager.

  • Great – thank you – that was it.
    APpreciate your help.

  • You’re welcome
