i have a site i made several years ago that used the header widget to place an image at the right side of the header. today i noticed that image is no longer visible in the header, though i can see it in the widget panel and when i test plugins it still happens when just gp premium is active. how can i get that back? i switched my theme to standard generatepress so i don’t think it’s anything in my child theme….

i even made small edits to the widget and resaved it with no joy

also if i turn off gp premium it appears.

Hi there,
the Header Widget is inside the Site Header.
And on that site you’re not displaying the site header, only the nav is being displayed.
In Customizer > Layout -> Header, do you have the Navigation as Header option checked ? -
yes.

OK, that option removes the site header ( and the header widget inside it ) and just displays the Navigation in its place.
So you can’t use it and show a widget…. -
ok. but i have tried that as well and still am not seeing the header widget the way it used to be. the logo doesn’t even show up when i turn that off. .

I logged in to your site, and edited the Home Page, in the Disable Elements meta box, the Header is disabled. So theres no header on that page.
