I’ve been putting my extra custom .css in your customizer/custom css box.
But is this the best place for it, long-term?
I feel like I should be putting it in my child theme but I don’t know how.

Hi there,
the Customizer > Additional CSS field is a fine place to keep it, if there is not much of it.
If you start writing 100s of lines then you should look to add it to Child Theme.Personally i would always opt for a child theme
