I have created a element to display the Author box on my posts
I am trying to display the Author avatar, author name and author bio using dynamic data.
I am using the post author name, author avatar and author meta dynamic fields but the information and image are not displaying.
Here is the url of the test page
https://www.smartbabyadvice.com/test-post-ah/
Please see above ” Leave a comment” section.
It is only displaying the following text
Photo of author

Hi there,
to display the author bio, add a GP Dynamic Content Block and set it to display the Author Description.

I added the Dynamic content block and it is now displaying the author bio

However the Author photo is not showing up

I have put the author image in a container inside a grid
I want to vertically centre align the image
Cant figure out .
I also need to send you screenshots of my various pages, but I cant see how to send them to you in my replies to this ticket.
There seems to be no way of uploading screenshot as attachments

I used the Dynamic content to create the Author description
But I cant see any way to change the typography or any other thing for this author description.
However I just put the dynamic content into a new container and then set the typography for the font size and style and it is now working fine.
Is that the proper way to do it?

To send us screenshots, you need to save the images to a cloud drive, or your WP Media Library or use a service like imgur to upload the images.
Then share the URL to their location in your reply.1. to center the image.
Select the Grid Block and set its Vertical Alignment to Center.2. to style the GP Dynamic Content block, place it inside its own Container Block, and the set the Container Blocks typography

1. I selected the Grid block for the image but I cant find any option to center it vertically.
The display option is set to Default. Do I need to change that?
Further the author image is not displaying as I mentioned earlier
2. I was able to set the typography for the Dynamic container

Just a reminder
author image is not displaying as I mentioned earlier

The element is not assigned to post “test post ah”, but to “test post new”, and it’s showing in the post:
https://app.screencast.com/PxJnQvt4rlt6VFor the author image, the author is using a plugin to add local avatar.
Can you ask the plugin’s support on how to pull the author image? As GB/GP pulls the default author avatar which is set in the user profile. (dashboard > users).

I have assigned to https://www.smartbabyadvice.com/test-post-ah/
Image still not showing

Hi there,
If you go to Dashboard > Users, you’ll notice that avatars using a custom avatar plugin aren’t even loaded by WordPress. This explains why the author avatar isn’t showing up on the frontend, as it has a loading problem from the start.
It appears that there is an issue with the Molongui Authorship plugin. Deactivating it resolves the author avatar display. I recommend reaching out to the plugin developer for assistance with this matter.

I have deactivated the Molonqui Authorship plugin and have installed the WP Avatar User plugin to upload my Author image.
Now the author image is displaying
However the author image is showing in elliptical shape
Here are the settings for padding , margin etc
This is how the author box is appearing
THe image is NOT circular

Use a GB image block to display the avatar instead, so you can set width/height for the image block.
-
ashokvas
GB Image block cannot pull dynamic data as each author has a different photo

Alvind
You can use the block setting’s
Dynamic Data
. Set Data Source to Current Post, Image Source to Author Avatar -

I have done the above settings but my author box is not displaying on my post
