Lost Element content

Hi,

After site migration (from a staging subdirectory to the root directory) I lost my elements content in the root site and would like to know if/how I can get them back.
The staging subdirectory is no longer accessible, the WordPress install file still exists but the staging database has been overwritten to link to the root url, and is used for the root site. The database has not been updated completely yet, some tables still link to staging.

What would be my best option to resolve this?
