Hey everyone. For the life of me I can’t organise the buttons in the right sidebar on this page (and in fact all pages) to be full width of the sidebar:
https://tasman.tas.gov.au/council-meetings/
I’ve set up the buttons as Block layout, the Button Container is Block layout, I’m at a bit of a loss.
Any help would be great. Cheers

Hi there,
Try setting the button Display option from
inline-flex
toflex

Hi Leo, thanks for your reply.
I set every button to Flex, and tried with the Button Container as both Block and Flex, but still can’t get those buttons to fill the entire width of the sidebar.
Any other suggestions?

Hi BigHef,
Set the width of the Buttons to 100%. Reference: https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/sizing-options-overview/

Thanks for your help Fernando. Unfortunately setting the width for both the buttons and the button container doesn’t seem to have any effect.

The 100% width setting isn’t reflecting on my end.
Can you share admin login credentials through the Private Information field so I can take a closer look at what’s causing it not to reflect?

BigHef
Thanks Fernando, I have added into the private information field.

Can you try a), and if that doesn’t work, try b) here?:
a) Choose Inline Embedding for the CSS Print Method in Settings > GenerateBlocks.
b) Regenerate your CSS files in Settings > GenerateBlocks.Reference: https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/unstyled-content/

Thanks Fernando. Again, I have tried both methods suggested with no apparent success.

Can you try temporarily disabling caching/optimization plugins you have like “WP Fastest Cache”?
-
BigHef
I have disabled WP Fastest Cache. I don’t think I have any other caching plugins activated. Still no joy 🙁

How did you edit the right sidebar? I’m not seeing it at appearance > widgets > right sidebar.
Let me know!

Hi Ying, I’m using the Content Aware plugin which lets me create custom sidebars and assign them to specific pages.
-
Fernando
That’s also possible through GeneratePress Premium.
See here for reference: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-sidebar/
To test, can you try creating the right sidebar for the page in question with a Block Element – Sidebar instead?
You can just copy and paste the content of the current sidebar you have to the Block Element.

Hello, sorry for the delay since your last help.
I have created a Right Sidebar and assigned it to every page in the Your Council menu. I’m still seeing the same width issues with this sidebar.

Any more ideas?

Hi there,
select a Button and set the Layout -> Display to Block.
Then let me know.
