Hi – I am suing Wincher (SEO tool) and after inspection it is giving me several errors:
– The entire keyword is not in the title.
– Keyword position in the h1
– Your page seems to contain more than one <h1>-tag. For best results, it is recommended to have a single <h1>-tag.
– Keyword was not found in any subheading.I have looked and (used search tool) through page code and don’t understand why I have these errors. I have a title, I have an H1 tag, and I have H2s. All have the exact keyword phase of “4×4 off road shop loveland”. I only have one H1.
More info:
I have a Header element – with H1
My page has the H2s and I have disable title on the page so the Header Element is what displays.
I do not have these issues on home page or some other pages set up similar. This is why i don’t think it is wincher. Could be wrong. Please help. I’m scratching my head so much hair is falling out 🙂

Hi there,
is it possible to see the page on the site?
I’ll do a sweep of the source code to see if theres anything odd. -
Sure – how do you want. me to share?
-
David – wincher says they are seeing the letter x inside “4×4” being coded as a symbol versus a letter…but I cannot see in code view.
“In the H1 tag, you have “4×4” which is encoded “×” symbol”
Can you tell me where/how I can see this?
-
Sorry for so many threads submits, but I wanted to give you the latest. I used view source: “page” and see the code now.
<h1 class=”gb-headline gb-headline-708f3ed1 gb-headline-text”>4×4 Off Road Shop Loveland</h1>
HOw do I modify if the code view in GP doesn’t show it this way?

You should not modify any GB block in code view to avoid block breakage.
However, the page you linked leads to a 404 page, can you check if the URL is correct?
-
-
Both of those Links are retuning a 404 Not Found ?
-
David – this is weird…I am taking those URLS from my logged in google chrome and they work fine. I then copy from forum thread and paste into Incognito window and I get 404 error. I type revoutofitters.com via incognito and it works. I than navigate to one of those pages and it works fine. However, all of my pages have issues in incognito mode.Never seen this before. The website looks fine when I am not in incognito.
Here is a working link I pulled from incognito: https://revoutfitters.com/4×4-alignments/
Main page: revoutfitters.com. 4×4 alignments page is under 4×4 repair main menu.
-
David – I think the link issue is related to the original issue….somehow the letter x is being translated to a symbol.
-
Right – sorry I didn’t see the earlier replies.
Yeah the x has been swapped out in the URL.
Which is weird. Whats the character that got saved in the post slug ? -
Not sure how to view that. Any suggestions?
-
This is all I see in the view source…
<link rel=”canonical” href=”https://revoutfitters.com/4×4-off-road-shop-loveland/” class=”yoast-seo-meta-tag” />
sorry for the ignorance
-
If you edit the post, in the post settings sidebar, click on the URL, and it will show the permalink slug there.
Does that have the correctx
character ? -
This is what i see…

IN terms of disabling WPtexturize…I saw this post: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/character-encoding-issue/
But I don’t know if disable snippet goes to HTML header or PHP. Any experience here?
-
Ah good find 🙂
So to cover ( and for anyone searching ) WP Texturise is converting a small X to a cross when its placed between two digits. This is the snippet for reference:
add_filter( 'run_wptexturize', '__return_false' );
Its PHP and this article explains how to add it:
